On this site you’ll find animated videos and written information on six topics:
- Blood Tests
- Bone Marrow and the Spleen
- Lymphocytes and the Lymphatic System
- Leukemia and Lymphoma
- Multiple Myeloma
- Myeloproliferative Disorders and Myelodysplastic Syndromes
These resources are intended for blood cancer patients, their family and friends, and others in the general public interested in learning more about blood cancers. Our approach focuses on the physiological basis of disease; we hope that by helping patients understand what may be going on in their bodies, patients can better understand both why they have the symptoms they do, and how their cancer relates to other types of blood cancer.
Materials were prepared by Julia Pon, an MD/PhD student at the University of British Columbia. Thanks to Catherine Anderson, PhD, Dr. Jason Ford, MD FRCPC, and Sharon Paulse for their guidance in making this video.
